Thanksgiving Photo Recap

It's a cold Monday night and it seemed like a good time to share some Thanksgiving weekend photos. Hope you all had a smooth re-entry today back to work/school/regular life!

Mazy's ice cream birthday cake on Thanksgiving night at my in-laws' house.

 Candle time!

This was no easy cake to cut through, good thing I'm strong! Check out that piece in the lower right corner -- it was huge! I gave it to Shawn. :)

Present time! Legos, Nerf gun and Halo guys!

I loved this Lego set -- Alien Abduction, and it comes with a farmer that gets abducted by the aliens! The farmer is hilarious, he has muttonchop sideburns and is wearing bib overalls! I think he's an English sheep farmer. :)

 Chopped Granny Smith apples (4)

Freshly shelled pecans (1 cup, chopped)

Cake flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder and salt

 Pour into greased/floured bundt pan

 Bake for one hour

Let cool and top with caramel sauce! Delicious!

Baked brussel sprouts and baby carrots -- garnished with one pound pancetta, raw green onions and lemon juice. Great flavors and so easy!

Nephew Hudson looking handsome as always!

And look at this little chubster, such a cutie! Nephew Maddox in his dress shirt with Uncle Shawn.

And this little doll is niece Imersyn.

And these two teenaged troublemakers are my cousins Jenny and Luke!

There you go -- two Thanksgivings in three days. Can't ask for a better schedule than that! The boys and I got the tree decorated tonight. They were so sweet -- they oohed and aahhed over every ornament and had such fun hanging them up. More on that tomorrow. And Shawn bought "Elf on a Shelf" tonight. We told the boys he is a spy for Santa and will report back everything they do to Santa -- both good and bad. Of course, we really played up the "bad" part.  :) I need to look up the back-story to this toy... I think he is supposed to move locations every night or something.
