Back to School and Random Pics

First Day of First Grade

Mazy started first grade this week. He's getting so big I can't believe it! I love taking the first day of school pics. He's always so excited and happy to be going.

He picked out his outfit this year -- nothing new. He's had the shirt and shorts for over a year! His shoes are new though. And he insisted on wearing his socks like that because "it's how teenagers do it." Don't ask me where he came up with that!

Boys of the Corn

And this series of photos I just love! Took them at the farm a couple weeks ago. The boys LOVE playing in Grandpa's cornfield. And I have so many memories of playing tag in the corn when I was a kid. Love watching them relive the same simple pleasures we had on the farm.

Hwy 141 100-mile Garage Sale

Mazy at the old jail in Templeton, Iowa.

Shawn and Mazy searching for treasures at a garage sale at Whiterock Conservancy shelter house.

The town of Coon Rapids -- full of beautiful modern art!

Like this cool windmill sculpture at the city park where we got some great deals on antiques and dinosaur watches!

Here was **some** of Mazy's haul from the garage sales... It's missing a few toys that Bo must have been playing with when I took the picture. Needless to say, Mazy made out like a bandit and only spent $9!!

Here's some of the stuff Mom bought -- more dishes for her enamelware collection, some really cheap VHS tapes for the kids to watch in her den and I'm not sure what else.

That's today's update. Have a great weekend everybody! Last couple of days to go to the Iowa State Fair if you haven't been there yet!
