30 Days of Madness

Shawn and I are watching a movie from our past, "Bless the Beasts and Children." I remember reading this book in 6th grade, but I don't remember much of the plot. Like none of it. It didn't leave the lasting impression that "To Kill a Mockingbird" left or "Johnny Get Your Gun." We're half-way through it and taking a bathroom break.

Looking ahead I can't believe how much there is to get ready for! Easter, Mother's Day, a four-day business trip to Minneapolis and then an overnight camping trip with Mazy. Yikes! That's a lot of planning and preparing.

Well, bathroom break is over. More tomorrow.

  1. I remember that book, don't they all travel to a ranch where they ride horses or bulls at the end? I have never read "Johnny Get Your Gun." What the heck is that about?

  2. Yes, Bless the Beasts and Children is about some misfits at summer camp who get picked on and decide to free a bunch of buffalo that are going to be shot. It's rather strange... Johnny Get Your Gun is a really cheerful book about a soldier who loses all his limbs and cannot communicate to anyone and nearly goes insane because of it. Odd choices for middle school, if you ask me.
