Big Storm Bust

4 a.m. today. Mazy enters our bedroom.

"Mom. Mom. Is it a snow day?"

Me: Mazy, go back to bed!

6 a.m. "Mom. Mom. Moooommmmmmm. Is it a snow day?"

Me: I don't know! Go look at my phone and see if there's an email.

5 minutes later.

Steps on the stairs. Sniffle. Sniffle.

"Mommmmmm. There's no email!! Are they canceling school? Why aren't they canceling it? They said we'd have a snow day!"

Me: Sorry, buddy. Looks like we're heading to work and school. Never trust the weather guys.

Our house Thursday night when we arrived home after work/school/daycare. The "storm" had been going about two hours by then.

Random Vi-Vi pic! We gave her the sucker we bought for her Valentine's Day gift. It was about the size of her face.

She was quite excited by it. And attacked it with zeal!

So now it's Friday night. Violet is in bed. Bo is about to head up. We have "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" for tonight's movie. We have an at-home weekend planned. Housework, organizing and laundry tomorrow. Groceries, meal planning, taxes and bills on Sunday. It doesn't sound fun, but I actually love weekends when we're home and ultra productive. It's a great way to start off the week! And we want to do a lot of baking so we have some yum-yums for breakfast next week -- scones, muffins, maybe even breakfast cookies. I've always wanted to make those.
