Saturday... What a Bust

It seems like there's always one day in a four-day weekend that is kind of a drag. Today was that day. I was home with the kids while Shawn did some shopping. Violet was a grump— adorable still — but grumpy from her head cold. She wanted held all day, which would have been wonderful, but she didn't want held... It's hard to explain. She cried when she was on the floor until I picked her up. Then she cried and squirmed when I held her. It was just one of those days.

Friday, on the other hand, was super fun and productive! Violet and I were up in Nevada. She was in a great mood all day (until her fever hit in the late afternoon. And even then she was still a sweetheart.) I finally sewed the binding on Violet's baby quilt. I started the quilt and growth chart for her future room. I did a little bit of Christmas shopping at the local Ben Franklin's store. And I got liver and onions (Mexican-style) for lunch! Whoohooo! Now that's what I call a good day! Plus, it's always fun to hang out with sewing buddies. Especially sewing buddies like Belinda and Sandy who rip out my mistakes and help me fix them.  :)

Tomorrow I'm hoping to take the boys to Grandma Maxine's for lunch. We were supposed to go out today but with Violet's cold and fever, I didn't want to risk it. She may stay home with Shawn tomorrow.

And that's all from today. It's cold. I never got my steps painted... My wreath is not yet on the door... Sigh. Always the best intentions.  :)
