Mother Nature, I know I pick on you often and complain quite a bit, but really, why do you find it necessary to give us such crappy weather on the weekends and then taunt us with these beautiful days during the work week?
The good news about this good weather is our backyard project is really coming together! Last night Shawn put down the landscaping paper and then after dinner, he, Mazy and I put down about 40 or 50 of our bags of mulch. That Mazy is a little workhorse!
Tonight Shawn is opening the swingset box and beginning construction on it. I will likely begin other mulching/landscaping projects. Before you know it, our backyard will be on the cover of Better Homes & Gardens!
Haha, not quite... But it will look better than it has in years!
And we're not just improving the outside, we're working on the inside, too! Tonight Uncle Doug's friend Dale the drywaller is coming over to look at our hole in the ceiling. With luck we will have that fixed soon as well. While Dale is at the house, I might see if he can patch a few other problem areas.
So house and yard are going well. In other big news, Bo started his new daycare yesterday! Day 1 report was awesome. I'm still crossing my fingers until he's been there a few weeks and gets settled in. I think he was too shy to misbehave on his first day. But he's such a sweet little guy and I know this will be better for him.
And Mazy also had an outstanding day at school! I don't know what it was but the Hanson boys were in a behaving-kind-of-mood on Tuesday. Let's hope they keep it up all week!

Good Luck with the yard. Sounded like the birthday party was a huge success! It was and will continue to be 100 here. HOT. Logan is at camp this week - glad they have a/c, but they have to walk a long ways to eat etc. Good for her - I guess! Sound pics of the yard
