Take-Your-Son-Who-Got-Suspended-From-Daycare-To-Work Day

As you might have guessed from today's title, Bo is having a few challenges at daycare again -- the biting continues. I got a call Monday morning and was asked to pick him home for the day. And when I arrived to get him, they said he was being suspended for another day... Gee, great. So what to do with a 2-year-old who has been suspended from daycare?

Have Daddy take him to work, of course!

Actually, we've been wanting Bo to spend a day at V & H, just like Mazy gets to do. So it worked out well. (And yes, we are finally convinced that we need to find him a new daycare. Clearly, this just isn't working for him. Or for me. I can't leave work every day to get him. That kind of defeats the purpose of daycare.)

Anyway, here's how Bo spent his first day as a working man:

Eating bacon, raspberries and strawberries provided by Grandma Belinda.Does she know her grandson's tastes or what?!

 More bacon!

Finding Grandpa's secret stash of mixed nuts. Nuts are nearly as good as bacon! (I think he inherited Grandma Katy's love of salt...)

Eating grapefruit slices at Grandma's desk.

Sweet talking Grandma into giving him more of her grapefruit.

Of course, he was charming today at Shawn's work and he was just as sweet as could be yesterday at home with me. If I had not witnessed his temper and tantrums, I would be tempted to believe that he is not capable of the carnivorous activities at daycare. But, I have seen him in action. He's capable... Let's hope we find a daycare that keeps him entertained and engaged, so we can move beyond the biting  phase.

Well, it's time to get some boys upstairs for bedtime. Still raining today but there is hope for the weekend. Fingers crossed that the sun will shine again!

  1. Oh-oh...I know it is so hard to get that call. Wonder why he does that at daycare? Frustration - boredom - just doesn't like some kids there? Looked like his day at Grandma's was fun tho'!!! Good luck and keep us posted.
