The recipe is in your red/white checkered Better Homes and Gardens cookbook -- make it for your next BBQ!
In addition to the excellent food, we enjoyed a very relaxing and fun day at the farm Saturday. The boys played outdoors quite awhile, watched dinosaur documentaries inside, wrestled on the plush new carpet and in the spacious new living room, and Bo got a four-wheeler ride with Grandpa, which is the greatest farm experience Bo can have.
Troy, Keri and new baby Maddox joined us for supper -- that little Maddox is so cute!! I got some pictures of him and will post them soon.
Sunday was a fairly lazy day at home -- finished laying down the last 7 bags of mulch! And now we need more... Yes, we have gone through 87 bags of mulch this year. I'm not sure what that says about us or our yard.. but darn it, it's looking good now!
And finally, plans are underway for three major events in the next two weeks:
- Mazy's final day of kindergarten on June 21, also the first official day of summer!
- Bo's third birthday on June 24th
- Our KC vacation June 22 - 26th!!
It's going to be a whirlwind week but I'm really looking forward to it. It's pouring rain here again, and quite cool. Not sure what the forecast calls for this week, but I think rains and clouds will be the norm.
Yummy, I haven't had that salad forever, and it's my favorite. Can't wait until you come down here!
